Although I lived in Alberta during my teenage years, it wasn’t until a return visit in 2012 that I had the opportunity (and the interest!) to look for dragonflies. We spent a few days of the beginning of that trip in Sherwood Park (just outside of Edmonton) and the remainder in Jasper National Park, where we were attending a wedding. Since then I have made two return trips to the Edmonton area, one in September and the other in late June. As none of my family lives in Alberta any more, I don’t have any more reason to return. Still, I would like to, if only to visit the mountains again!
